Course Overview
Elite Credit Law & Metro 2 Certification is a detailed professional training course created for credit repair specialists, credit analysts, financial service providers, and business owners who want to understand how to analyze credit reports using credit law, FCRA accuracy standards, Regulation V furnisher duties, FDCPA collection rules, and Metro 2 reporting concepts.
This course teaches students how to identify possible reporting issues across Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion while using legally accurate terminology such as credit reporting agencies, furnishers, consumer reports, direct disputes, and reinvestigation duties.
Students will learn how different sections of credit law may apply to specific areas of a credit report, including personal information, inquiries, late payments, charge-offs, collections, medical bills, repossessions, evictions, child support, bankruptcy reporting, dispute remarks, transferred accounts, duplicate accounts, re-aged accounts, and identity theft-related items.
This is not a basic “send a dispute letter” course. It is designed to help students understand why a law may apply, when it may apply, and how to connect the law to the actual reporting issue.
What Students Will Learn
Students will learn how to:
Analyze credit reports for inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, unverifiable, duplicated, or misleading information.
Understand key FCRA sections including 15 USC 1681, 1681a, 1681b, 1681c, 1681c-1, 1681c-2, 1681e(b), 1681g, 1681i, 1681s-1, and 1681s-2.

Understand when FCBA/TILA sections such as 15 USC 1666, 1666b, and 1637 may apply to credit card billing, payment posting, and late-payment issues.
Separate valid legal arguments from misleading social media-style “deletion code” claims.
Match credit law sections to specific credit report remarks and derogatory account types.
Identify potential issues with late payments, collections, charge-offs, repossessions, medical collections, child support, evictions, bankruptcy accounts, and unauthorized inquiries.
Understand how Metro 2 reporting concepts relate to account status, payment history, dates, balances, responsibility codes, compliance remarks, and reporting consistency.
Build stronger, more factual dispute strategies based on accuracy, completeness, verifiability, and legal compliance.
Course Disclaimer
This course is for educational purposes only and does not provide legal advice. Students should not use legal sections as automatic deletion codes. A law section may apply only when the facts support it. All disputes should be truthful, specific, and based on the consumer’s actual credit report, documents, payment history, identity theft facts, or other supporting evidence. For legal claims, litigation, or complex consumer protection matters, students should consult a licensed attorney.
